Suzanne Gene Courtney now resides in Austin, Texas, near her family. Having retired from teaching in Michigan, she currently holds membership in the Writers’ League of Texas, Texas Association of Authors, the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Alpha Xi Delta Alumni, and Shepherd of the Hills Christian Church. She is also an artist/illustrator, an energy healing practitioner, and a grief coach. Suzanne is a mother and grandmother who began her writing career after the passing of her oldest son. She continues to help other bereaved parents to heal. In 2023, she was listed as an honored member of Marquis’ Who’s Who in America.
