Biography

I was born in November 21, 1959, and ever since I’m living in Varna city, Bulgaria, European Union.

I’ve never thought to be a writer. I’ve just ever loved the books. Still, in my early childish age, I loved the reading, maybe because I was very curious boy. In this, my childish age, 6 or 7 years old, I wrote my first verses. In 1981, when I began my studies in Varna’s Higher Institute for National Economy, I made my first literary attempts in the poetry genre. I just felt the necessity to put on the white sheet all my thrills and agitations in my mind. At the same time I doubted the socialist system in which I lived. Until the end of my studies in 1985, I had already begun writing the main work of my life, The Socialism, which is a philosophical, economical and political work.

Because of this book I was arrested by the Bulgarian State Security on March 27, 1986. During that time, the totalitarian system in East Europe was called socialism and even by the scientific nonsense and absurd names of communism and communist system. I had already written the first twenty odd pages when the “communist” State Security put me under arrest. After that, I had to reconstruct from memory all these pages. And I did.

But to write the Rats story, it was spontaneous and unexpected. That’s just how it happened. Along with the writing of The Socialism, I began to write science fiction. For the Rats I was provoked by a message in a popular magazine, while for the novel Homo Cosmicus the occasion was different – to take part in a CNN competition. And in 2021, I decided to write part two of Homo Cosmicus. This is how the novel Titan was born.

So, writing sci-fi is not my underlying style and main focus. But I love so much of this genre. My science fiction is more science and less fiction.

In addition to my economic education, I have another, technical; I graduated in Computer Engineering and Technology from the Technical University in Varna in 1997.

Since 1992 I have been working at the Customs Agency and I am a senior inspector at Varna Customs. In 2024, after 32 years service, I will retire well.

Of Rats and Men reserved for those with an Open Mind! Socialism Is Dead! Long Live Socialism! reserved for the Clever Thinking Men! And Homo Cosmicus 1 and 2 reserved for both of that people!
