About the Author

Glynis Bloomfield is an Australian who has worked as a teacher for 25 years in primary schools and special education schools in Australia, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. She has 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren.

As a teacher, Glynis has a great interest in developing the self esteem of her students and invoking confidence and trust, as well as developing an awareness of their role in respecting and protecting the environment.

Glynis’ experience in Steiner education developed her interest in story telling and a belief in the importance of the use of the imagination in learning. In Steiner schools the students learn much of the curriculum through story telling. The satisfaction she has gained through watching children mesmerised as they are told, rather than read, a story, has had a profound effect on Glynis and led her to put her stories in writing.
