Cheetah and Her Pyramids: Pedaling into Her Land of Belief

I really enjoyed bringing this character Cheetah, to life. It’s a simple imaginary story with tremendous meaning. I love showing children that “make believe” is okay. I think it encourages a child’s creativity in many ways.

I’ve been writing for 20 years, with 19 books published. Almost all are children’s books. A new category is Young Adult books, which have been a true challenge.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Scott, and we have one talented son, Ryan. Both support me tremendously.

Living in two completely different parts of the world-Lake of The Ozarks, Missouri and Nueva, Mexico-really nourishes my imagination. I love the wildlife in both places and write about “the little critters” from each place.

Four more books are on the drawing board. You are going to love The Secrets of The Cobweb House!

I feel very blessed and always eager to see what is next.

Finch and Robin: Another Child's Journey in Reading

The delightfully illustrated children’s story Finch and Robin is about two diverse friends who really enjoy life.

There’s a lesson to be learned in Finch and Robin’s story. The two just happen to be birds.

“Both were just little baby birds when they first met and instantly developed schoolyard relationships. They were told early on by their elders, ‘Finches stay with Finches. Robins stay with Robins.’ “

Although the two are different, they have a lot in common. The two good friends start each day together going through the same routine. They love visiting The Koolaid House, The Castle, and a cave decked out for comfort. Of course, there are opportunities to meet other woodsy creatures where they both live in the Lake of The Ozarks.

Two Men and Their Catch

The children’s book Two Men and Their Catch is part of a fun fisherman series by Deborah K Crawford, based on her experiences living in Mexico part-time.

The story explores the friendship and adventures experienced by the hard-working people of Mexico, especially fishermen. These are very patient souls, staying in their boat for hours and hours until their catch comes in.

There is real camaraderie among them, and when the day is done, they celebrate with colas and good cheer.

Best of all are their out-of-this-world surroundings. Picture the sea, the beach, and the tropical resorts of Mexico.

Three Men and Their Boat

Three Men and Their Boat is a sweet yet realistic tale about friends who work hard and play hard together in the tropics. They dream about what selling their fish will bring.
They sail their boat called The Three Amigos (Friends) looking for fish.
After sailing for a while, they had a successful catch. And went on to the shore.
The amigos celebrated.

There were cheers all around. They had been praying for such a catch as this.
“No problem paying for Javier’s school this term, thought Marco. Miguel said to himself that he could get the one vehicle repaired and get all the groceries on the list.
“Bernardo, who was the youngest of the three, could see a moped in the near future. May be a bright red one.”
What else will their load of fish pay for? Working is hard, but necessary to pay the bills.

Then the worst thing happened. What will the three friends do?

About the Author

In each of Texas native Deborah K. Crawford’s books, she likes to include a life skill or a lesson to be learned. “I’m a Texas gal and I have Texas close to my heart. I moved most of my life, and finally landed at the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks” in Missouri, where this story is set. Some of her other books take place in Mexico, where she spends four months each year. “Thank you to my husband, Scott Crawford, and son, Ryan Crawford, for their continued support in my writing for 20 years.”
