About the Book and the Authors
Synopsis
New Book Compares East- West Learning Styles in Classical Singing
Doesn’t everyone love great music? Even if there are language barriers, the common denominator of song has always knocked down the walls of cultural differences to bring about the enjoyment of music.
Comparison of Learning Classical Singing Between European and Chinese Singers is a book showing the differences between the two forms of classical music. Peter Simon is an interpreter, accompanist and opera enthusiast who helped Zhong Jun Shen put her training and knowledge of European opera and lieder together with her Chinese background to write this fascinating work.
For singers and music teachers who grapple with differences in singing techniques, language and culture, this book combines with the love of music to truly help East meet West.
