Against All Odds: Skeletons in the closet by Vivian W. Kiarie

About the Book

There is a fine line between good and evil, and life and death. Against All Odds is a fascinating, morbid, yet humorous account of a young woman’s journey to deal with the skeletons in her closet.

Nissi Sanders is a young woman from a dirt-poor dysfunctional family, plagued by immorality, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, volatile marriages, and eccentric relatives. At 6 years old, she falls prey to a predatory “uncle.” At 9, her absentee father shows up to take Nissi and her mother out of the country and into the city, only to introduce them to a life of violence and infidelity. Then comes the roller-coaster adolescence and college years, when Nissi struggles with bipolar personalities in her quest to define her identity.

Against All Odds is an inspirational story of God’s awesome love and His incredible power to deliver and restore lives. Its wisdom nuggets address critical life issues, as Nissi the woman confronts her turbulent past to exorcise demons and find deliverance.
