About the Book
The months after I graduated from Harvard Law School were the worst time of my life: the uncertainty of moving to a new city on only my savings (and New York City at that), the massive failures I faced during my first year in business for myself, and the sudden death of my grandmother is just the beginning of the story. But somehow in my deepest despair, I found the strength to keep going—if only for just another day. Then, one day, I looked up and saw that through the adversity and the trials, I was slowly becoming the man I had dreamt my whole life of being.
About the Author
I wrote The Power to Think, The Will to Act because I want people to know that living your greatest dreams often starts with experiencing your biggest nightmares. This book is about how I found my calling and my purpose in the midst of my deepest pain—and how you can too.
I am a college lecturer, consultant, and alumnus of Morehouse College and Harvard Law School. My first book, Daring to be Different: 25 Tips for a Life of Success (which I wrote at 18), is a practical step-by-step guide for high school and college students on how to discover your gifts and how to get the most out of your education in this modern economy.
In 2007, I graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Arts in History as Valedictorian. In 2010, I graduated from Harvard Law School with a Juris Doctor. Today, I am an adjunct lecturer at ASA College in New York City, and I travel around the world giving lectures and seminars.
