The Healing Shirt by Bambi DuFresne Klem

About the Book

Dreams Much and his cousin, Runs Swiftly, are two young Indian boys as different as night and day. The entire village sees them both as lazy and mischievous, but each boy feels he has a special ability that no one else seems to care about.

When a prairie fire threatens the village and their food supply, the boys must somehow find a way to help save their people, even if it means risking their own lives. Will they be able to work together or will their differences only get in the way?
