Ingrid Botha Wins Silver Award
Ingrid Botha’s children’s book Chikin & Scrub has received the Silver Award 2011-12 from Bizziebaby. The website is devoted to parents, and it is parents who review the products endorsed. Botha’s book earned high marks, which qualified it for the award. Read more.
Destiny’s Waltz Author Featured on PBS
PBS through WEDU-TV recently aired an episode of Jack Perkin’s A Gulf Coast Journal featuring author Robert de Warren and his most recent accomplishment, The Carreño Dance Festival; the festival was created with artistic partner and celebrated ballet star Jose Manuel Carreño of American Ballet Theatre. National press and the program book of the Metropolitan Opera House have been quick to recognize this venture as a true first. Read more.
Pinnacle Book Achievement Award Winner
Sally Eccleston has won the NABE Fall 2011 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award for her novel, Leap Beyond Blue Sky Veil . The book was chosen in the category of Historical Fiction. Each year, for the past twenty-seven, the North American Bookdealers Exchange (NABE) honors some of the finest work published by its members. Ms Eccleston and her work will be featured in the next issue of Book Dealers World as well as at upcoming book trade show exhibits. Read more.
Author named one of “50 Great Writers”
Ila France Porcher has been named one of the “ 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading “! The author was a finalist in The Author Show 2011 Contest ”50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading” based on her radio interview with the show’s host, Don McCauley. Now that voting has concluded, Porcher has made the cut and is one of the 50 Great Writers, joining fellow SBPRA author Anita Waggoner. Porcher and her work will be featured in the 2011 book “50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading,” which shares the authors’ stories of how they achieved their success. Read more.
