Suicidal and in despair, he is helped by medical professionals and transitions to female, becoming Ann.
While Ann’s brother’s fate is not a happy one, Ann ultimately finds love with a wonderful partner. But she is left asking important questions. Why were Ann and her brother not protected by the system that was supposed to take care of the children? How could the damage to Ann and her brother have been avoided?
