Author Krisha Stanworth was once a happy mother, but she was catapulted into a life over which she had no control. Krisha lost custody of her two children, and believes to this day that the man guilty of domestic abuse and beating her was also the man responsible for her mother’s death.

Krisha wrote this book to show that “domestic violence comes without you even realising what is happening to you until it is too late.” In her quest for justice, the police have not been on her side – the victim – but instead took the side of the abuser. In an ironic twist of fate, the man in her life was a police informant.

The author has found some peace though her writing, but still struggles without having her children in her life. She says, “People need to open their eyes to a great miscarriage of justice that affects both men and women, and especially the children.”
