The streets were safe due to a determined business community and the watchful eyes of the police chief, who along with the rest of his department maintained a strict vigil to keep the town safe.
When a teenage girl is murdered and mayhem begins to take over the streets, everyone is caught up in the anguish, including the Giannetti family. They are just one of many Old World cultures that inhabit the blue-collar neighborhoods of Norwood. Through the eyes of the Giannetti’s youngest daughter, Millie, readers learn of the dark secrets the town harbors.
All of Norwood struggles with the consequences when the mystery hidden behind closed doors turns the town into a graveyard of despair. For one community, Of a Demon in My View marks the end of its age of innocence.

Jean M. Porro is retired and lives with her husband on Cape Cod near Falmouth, Massachusetts. “I was a small child when the murder occurred. I was fascinated with what happened and had never lost sight of the sad girl that was killed. I have always felt that it would make a great movie.” She has written four novels and has won awards for her poetry.
