Dusty by Budd Nelson

About the Book

If you love Westerns, you’ll love Dusty. The camaraderie of the Old West forms the basis of the new novel Dusty. Set in 1878 in Texas, two ranch hands come across a stranger at a campfire. Dusty Rhodes had drawn them there to save their lives from Indians.

Dusty joins the men on their return trip to the ranch where they work, and ends up taking a job for the rancher, leading a cattle drive to Kansas. The herd faces storms, is attacked by cattle rustlers, and Dusty meets a Mexican woman. The two fall in love and marry. He returns from the cattle drive just as his wife gives birth to their child.

Travel back to yesteryear, and join Dusty as he fights the good fight. The sequel to this book is now being written, and takes up the story four years later.
